Happy New Year Everyone
2022 was a fantastic year for MAOS as we were able to put on our Panto ‘Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs’ and finally got to stage ‘9 to 5 The Musical’ having had to cancel twice due to Covid.
Both shows were very well received and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved in them.
2022 also saw the Society celebrate its 95th anniversary with a Black Tie Dinner and Dance evening at Howley Hall Golf Club. The Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Bob Gettings and Lady Mayoress Mrs Lesley Gettings were our guests for the evening.
Steven Holt reached 50 years service to amateur theatre in 2022 and received his 50 year NODA medal from the Lord Mayor on the evening. He started with MorleyAOS in 1972 and has been in every Musical and Panto since totalling 97 shows. With concerts and Plays included he has done well over 100 productions with the Society.
We are now in our final rehearsals for ‘Beauty and The Beast’ panto and I do hope as many of you as possible will be able to come.
